The NCC states that a pipe system compromised entirely of metal must have the relevant insulation criteria to meet the FRL requirements, as per section C3.15. It also states a metal pipe cannot pass through more than 2 fire compartments without the insulation criteria met.

Base line data is a requirement from AS 4072.1 which stipulates all fire stopping elements are to be logged and recorded after installation. These logs are to be supplied to the owner/builder on completion of the installation. AS 1851 requires base line data for all routine inspections.
